A great opportunity to purchase these two discontinuous, non-croft areas of ground. The triangular area extends to 1.270 hectares (3.13 acres) with the other area extending to 1.561 hectares (3.85 acres). They are both registered in the Land Register of Scotland under Title Number OAZ17501 and are situated in the central belt of mainland Shetland, just north of Kergord Woods on the B9075.
There are no buildings situated on the areas of ground.
These areas provide an ideal opportunity for established crofters/farmers requiring additional grazing or those wishing to try their hand on a small holding.
If you wish to view the areas of ground, please do so at your convenience.
Offers or written enquiries are invited and should be submitted to Anderson & Goodlad.
From Lerwick travel north on the main A970 north. Turn left at the Kergord B9075 junction. This is a single track road with Sand Water Loch on the left. The area of ground closest to the roadside is on the left just before entering Kergord with all its trees. There is alternative access from the main road heading west from the head of Weisdale Voe through Kergord itself.

An exceedingly rare opportunity to purchase an area of ground with Planning Permission in place in a central location of Lerwick.
The Planning Permissions (ref. 2017/096/PPF; 2016/003/PPF; 2014/003/PPF) provide for various size of domestic store or garage depending on a Purchaser’s requirements, including a two storey option. Water and electricity services are available on site.
There are vehicular and pedestrian access rights over the area but these do not extend to the area of proposed development.
Prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves as to the terms of the Permissions in place by contacting Shetland Island Council’s Planning Office directly.
UPDATE
Planning Permission in principle (ref. 2018/357/PPP) has been granted to erect a two storey one bedroom residential property with parking.
From Commercial Road turn into the road opposite the Viking Bus Station. The road is situated just down from the zebra crossing with 20 Commercial Road being on the corner.
Carry on along this single track road (locally known as Mitchell’s Walk) past Malakoff Limited.
The area of ground for which Planning Permission has been granted abuts the dry stone dyke that is around the White House’s car park.
